triumvirate

17 February 2015

Well... we're still a triumvirate!  Trios are the most interesting experience.  Especially when one companion is homeschooled.  and the other is southern.   Its more fun than you can ever imagine.

a smattering of miracles for the week:

1.

When I first got into the area with Sister Dill, there was a priest in our ward named Miles.  (he's now in another ward boundary)
He is a character.

Once Sister Dill overheard him saying that missions are ridiculous and dumb, and that he is going to make motorcycles instead.

She and sister Johnstun took him to some lessons,
we took him too, and

we did some lessons about our mission experiences.  We got to know him better and then he moved wards.

I saw his dad yesterday in Walmart (the missionary central) and he told us that a couple days ago, Miles told him he wanted to go on a

MISSION.

I cried.

In Walmart.

CHRISTINA IS GETTING BAPTIZED THIS WEEK

She is being baptized the 21 on saturday!  we are so excited.  Her best friend moved in with the active family too, she is 18 and has the cutest daughter ever and she is trying to come back to church too!  She and i have a lot in common and its been amazing to see the change in her friend too.  They both have nonmember boyfriends who want to know more about the church!

3.

BARBARA rocks.  we had an INCREDIBLE plan of salvation, and the spirit ROCKED that lesson.  We invited her to be baptized and she said.... YES.  tonight she is telling us the date she picked!!!! when we told her about the resurrection and how everyone who is handicapped and sick gets a new body she started crying and said it was beautiful!  SO cool.  She has had dreams about peope she thinks she knew in the premortal life and she said the spirit world makes perfect sense.  How neat is that?  THATS pretty neat!

4.

So you may notice a theme in my mission so far.  The first baptism i got to help with was 18 year old Lindsay. Now 18 year old Christina with her reactivated 18 year old friend.  Now we are teaching 18 year old Barbara and miracle 4 is 18 year old Kora, who is a half sister of a member in Settlers Bay ward who said she'd meet with us!  If you know of any other 18 year old girls in Alaska, you may want to send them our way.  They're apparently all the rage.

Off to a lesson with Amanda!  Today should hopefully be a 3 investigator lesson day!  Pray for us!
