Remember that time we lived in a tine cottage, and it was great, and then we decided it wasn't quite crammed enough so we opted to add another sister to the mix halfway through the transfer?? We are keeping her stuff in the bathtub. thats the kind of space we are talking here.
ONE is the loneliest number that you'll ever know.... TWO can be as bad as one, its the loneliest number since the number one... but THREE--> now there's a party.
Boring but important: A sister is going home earlyish ( just a couple weeks early so she can make it to school in time, yada yada. she is at the end of her mish.) so her companion is coming to stay with us till the end of transfer (JAN 17?) and we are going to work two areas: Settlers Bay & Colony. sounds very colonial if you ask me.
THE NEW ONE: SISTA DOTSON!!!!! (cheeers) Ok so i love sister dotson. She was in North Pole when i was in Fairbanks (about 20 minutes away) during the bed bug escapade of 2014, and it was into HER apartment that we moved when we had to flee from the lil vermin and live the hobo life out of plastic bags. We had 6 sisters in an apartment then. So actually, 3 sisters in an apartment about .5 the size of the North pole one makes this about exactly the same ratio we've already dealt with. (you're welcome math lovers). So it'll work. And we dont even have to deal with infestation this time (knock on wood) Sister Dotson and i planned to be companions and reopen White Horse for Sisters, but she's only got one more transfer after this so we'll take it. Guess this is when we'll be comps.
The work: its... great! lots of miracles and lots of disappointments and lots of hope. In fact here is a story that incorporates all three concepts.
The district Carolled one night (it does work, thank you Peach) to a random house. we were in a complex and knocked on three doors at once. Only one answered. A shy man poked his head out and thanked us, and we invited him to church. we felt very good about it. The spirit told us to come back so we did, and had a wonderfully awkward encounter "hey we are the ones who sang to you...?." and reinvited him to come. and..... Come sunday... he CAME!!!!! WOAHHHHHH. that doesn't usually happen. Yes, he left partway through looking rather overwhelmed (the disappointment) but i know that the lord is in charge of this. We will try him once more (the hope)
SOOOOO..... the invite for today... I invite you to ponder about what it means to "always remember the savior" while continuing to live and grow and pursue life. obviously the lord doesn't want us to sit in a corner and read the scriptures all day every day, he wants us to go EXPERIENCE the truth. So what does it then mean to always remember Him? something to think about. Then make a new years inspired pattern setting eh? (okay okay we'll just call it a resolution) so. now that we have remembered his birth, the next step is to remember His life. I know as you actively seek to do this on a daily basis you will find added joy.
