8 December 2014

relax, relax, i am staying here. But sister dill is leaving me!  Booooo....
Hey i hit my 6 month this week!  baha.

goodness the best thing ever happened  We FINALLY got in with this part member family that we have been trying to see and they invited us over to dinner.  We had a friendly casual conversation and got to know them a lot better.  He has had some struggles in the past with an ex wife leaving him because of his  association with the church so he is understandably protective of this new wife.  We shared a spiritual message about personal relationships with God and the spirit was so strong. they both testified that was something important to them. it was the coolest mix of light hearted laughing conversation and spiritual at the same time.  Like the room was glowing.  they asked me to say the closing prayer and i meant to start "our dear heavenly father, we are SOOO grateful"  but somehow what came out was "dear heavenly father, we are SOOOO crazy!"  haha i dont know WHERE it came from.  someone chuckled under their breath, which set someone else off, and before i know it we were all DYING of laughter.  the tears on cheeks kind.  But the spirit was still there.  somehow it was the perfect end to the night, kaisey, the wife said sincerely that she has loved getting to know us and we have to come back. God works in mysterious ways, but boy does he work.
also we accidently met these wonderful kids living PACKED in a tiny apartment, and when i met them my heart went OUT to them.  oh it was so great.  i knew i had to go back.  we talked to a wonderful family in the ward (the mcnairs, who are the patriarch and his wife)  and they went with us to the store and bought us a beautiful goodie box to give to them for the holidays.  We took the box to them and a couple of teenage kids opened the doors (with many more inside) and when we told them that we had been thinking of them, that we had brought things for them, and that we cared you could see from their faces that they NEEDED those things.  we asked them how old they were and one of them told us it was actually his 15th birthday that very day.   They came out to the car with us and one of them said in a soft voice, "how did you know we needed this"  i honestly can't remember our reply but the spirit was their so strongly.  We gave their family a book of mormon with one of the most beautiful testimonies i  have ever heard written inside.  (writtten by sweet sister Mcnair) they said we could come back and check up on them.  the spirit absolutely boiled within me and told me we had been led.  I love this work.  its just so worth it.  It makes life so joyous EVEN and sometimes especially when the winds and hurricanes come. I love you all and continue being faithful.
